Week 4

Detailed description about my work during the fourth week

Notes from logbook

This week I took it upon me to further start working on the styling of the page. After the meeting last week with the UX students, we sat together this monday to discuss which direction we want to take the deisng. The design was pretty similiar to last week so I focused on the parameters and how they were going to look in the final design. During design reviews last week and this week, the advice was to start looking at how adobe crams all there options and variables in an accordion design. On thursday the UX students stopped by to show us their new design which was a very simplified version of their earlier iterations.

Deep dive of this week's work

So this week I worked on the design that we got by the UX minor students. Nora already made a lot of progress on their design, so I worked further on the buttons in their design and the because it was the third time they changed their colours I made custom properties. After that, I shifted my focus to the different parameters and how to display them. Because the UX students didn't complete their entire design, we had to come up with our own solutions. First up, we used a harmonica that only displayed a few parameters at a time, so selecting one made the other ones hide. After a design review with Vasilis, it was more preferable to look at how adobe does it and make them all visible to see which options you have. Later on that day, the UX students came with a completely revamped design that resembled their first paper design a lot. So some of my work got nullified. However, it was still good practice in CSS
